It is a premium fodder product with very high water soluble carbohydrates. It can be supplied all year and is not subject to the vagaries of field drying. It is excellent for part of a total mixed ration where protein can be purchased cheaply.

Compares to 500,000t taken by Moreton Mill. Given that some farmers have left cane, some lands have been sold, some lands have been optioned we have probably lost 200,000t production.
BioCane aims to increase tonnage with time as other lands will find returns from cane attractive. BioCane will lease its own lands where necessary to increase supply.
